I am hopping on here to write out what I’ve been doing and how it’s going. I’ve read the ebook and come to the zooms. I’ve been eating carnivore for three and a half years. In that time I’ve lost weight at almost 80 pounds but have put on 10 in the last year. I still have 60 lbs to lose according to the height/weight suggestion. Honestly I can’t imagine myself at 125 lbs at 5’ 5.5”. I’ve been in a larger body my whole life. Even in high school I was 150 lbs and swimming two practices a day. I was skinny at that weight. In college I was 160 and rowing two workouts a day. Still skinny looking. So to think at 55 years old now I need to be 125 pounds is making me crazy. My largest weight was 260 and now I’m at 187. Honestly I’m just glad I’m able to wear a L/XL now and can get regular size clothing.
Now on to the other stuff. Since the start of October I’ve been tracking faithfully on MyNetDiary and eating in a calorie deficit averaging around 1200 per day. Macros at 70/30. I’ve been tracking blood sugar and ketones. Sugars mostly in the 90s. Ketones up over 3 when I eat only seafood but they go down to 0.5 or so when I eat beef. I don’t eat dairy due to heartburn. I’ve sometimes added in a cup of non starchy veggies. On those days I get a return of symptoms such as heartburn and joint pain in my right foot bunion. I noticed it especially bad when I had turkey meatloaf that I put onions in. I was 195.5 and now this morning I was 187. So that’s good progress for a month and a half. I am afraid to increase the carbs further because of symptoms. I know I’m an overeater and introducing carbs is very frightening to me.
If you’ve made it this far thanks. I’m going to keep listening to the zooms and see how I come around. Thanks everyone!
Tonight’s dinner: half pound 93% ground turkey with a cup of sugar free homemade kimchi and half cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt and a side of cucumber with balsamic vinegar.

It’s so nice to finally work the program and actually get improvements 🎉
